This is a classic historical book on physical culture and Eugene Sandow's first book which helped popularize bodybuilding, weightlifting and the strongman act. In this book, Eugen Sandow's biography is given, his strongman stories are detailed, and his system of physical training is detailed with great accuracy. He explains that his system, being the use of the popular light dumbbell training protrocol was responsible for his athletic and strong physique. Also displayed in this book are the bronze era weightlifting exercise many strongmen used back in those days, including one and two handed weightlifting exercises using dumbbells and kettlebells. Finally, his strongman stunts are also taught and explained, with testimonials from some of his students. An excellent and entertaining read. Enjoy!!
